Artist's Comments

So this is my first watercolor (if you don't count the ones I did in grammar school). Again, this is chiefly inspired by John Baizley, who does a lot of cover art for his band (Baroness) and others. I'm working to develop my own style, but the similarity is there obviously.

well done! i'm a sucker for outlining elements when i do work like this, but i remember all the teachers at mccullough/the woodlands getting mad at me for it! :)

wait- did we talk about this? I went to HS at McCullough. Graduated 94.

I think the outlining is a stylized thing. I like it.

Gracias. Already started work on another one. I'm going to darken the next one quite a bit so it's not as "pastelly".

yeah, i forget how it came up, but it was when you first joined DA... i graduated 98, so we never were there at the same time... :)
